My very first time in New York City was at age 19 when I moved there for the summer to work at MTV as a Production Management Intern. I lived in my own apartment and paid for it with my savings and by working at a frozen yogurt shop for the evening after my internship. That summer I grew up more than ever up to that point.
Read MoreIt's probably no secret that I eat a lot of food, but in this post, I want to chat about how I do it while maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
A lot of people ask my how I eat all this food (which I honestly do, I don’t just photograph it) and not gain weight. The answer is my personal trainer boyfriend, Dan, keeps me motivated to work out hard to eat hard. But you better believe that my weight fluctuates too, just like everyone else! I’ve been an active person my entire life and I’ve been a lover of food since forever. Some people don’t think the two go together, but in my world, they’re like pho and spring rolls, cookies and ice cream, burgers and fries, you get the idea.
Read MoreWhen Foodbeast and Totino’s ask you to create a recipe for the new Totino’s Stuffed Nachos, you create a recipe. I came up with a Totino’s Stuffed Nachos Waffle Quesadilla! Usually when I come up with recipes, I execute the recipe myself. But this time, my recipe was brilliantly brought to life by Foodbeast and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it came out! See the video on my Instagram at @stirandstyle.
Read MoreI matched the Toro Tartare Stir with this Style because of the beautiful multi printed top with its thin lines which mimics the rice cracker bowl that the toro happily sits in. The pattern and colors of the top make me think of the gorgeous marbling of the toro fat! The color of the toro, caviar, and rice cracker balls match with the light pinks, beige, and grays of the shirt, pants, and heels.
Read MoreI just got back from New York City last week and had the pleasure of staying at four different hotels that are all part of the Library Hotel Collection. Each hotel was wonderful and unique in its own way, but all had the following in common- extraordinary customer service, complimentary wifi, 24/7 complimentary coffee and treats available, wine and cheese receptions at 5pm daily, free bottled water in your room, complimentary continental breakfast buffets, and access to New York Sports Clubs. I was blown away by the hospitality each hotel provided and am so excited to share my experience with you all in chronological order. Use promo code STIRANDSTYLE for 20% off any hotel in the Library Hotel Collection!
Read MoreIn San Francisco, we have Stow Lake. In Los Angeles, there’s Echo Park Lake. You know what the two have in common? PADDLE BOATS! That used to be one of my favorite things to do when I was a kid growing up in San Francisco. However, the older I got, the slower the boat would go and the more boring the ride would be. Maybe it’s because I got heavier, but it could also be that life got heavier. The world around me was going so much faster. As a kid, you’re in the moment, you live for the game you’re playing, the dirt you’re rolling in, the friends and family you’re talking to, or the bug you’re looking at.
Read MoreSo the first week that I found out about Postmates, it was game over because I was ordering almost every night and from at least 2-3 restaurants each time! I was like a sheltered kid who experiences independence in college for the first time…buck wild! Postmates has so many options for you to choose from and not only that, but you can track your order from the moment you place your order to when it’s at your door. It’s amazing and my life will never be the same.
Read MoreI hope that everyone had a lovely Valentine’s Day! Although traditionally a romantic holiday, Valentine’s Day shouldn’t just be about romantic love. It should be a day to celebrate all the wonderful things in your life that you love…which should always include food! Speaking of food, Dan surprised me with reservations at Downtown LA's new Otium. Check out some photos from dinner on my Instagram at @stirandstyle!
Read MoreThe air is finally feeling brisk and I love it!! Not only do I need to start bundling up, but my good friends, Oreos, need to as well. I wrapped myself in a Calvin Klein cowl-neck striped sweater and wrapped my Oreos in a matching Noosa Yoghurt shell.
Read MoreThe shrimp fried rice from Pho 5 Chop Shop in Diamond Bar is so pretty with that light pink orange color of the shrimp that I couldn’t resist matching an outfit! They’ve recently added new items like fried rice and vermicelli bowls. To top it all off, they have THE best pho broth I have ever tasted...and I’ve had a lot of pho in my day. Based on the photo of the rice, this isn't necessarily a post about their pho, but I just had to say it because it’s my favorite and I love noodles so much.
Read MoreI have always LOVED to eat gnocchi, but have always been so afraid to attempt to make these pillows of deliciousness. Good thing Christine Carlson from What Do You Crave is such an amazing cook and created this gorgeous dish for our collaboration post! I’m pretty certain we were meant to find each other because 1) her cat and my dog have the same name…DUKE, 2) we both like our coffee black, and 3) we share a love for hot Cheetos.
Read MoreI was just too excited to find this door downtown and had to rep that 415 because my home will always be San Francisco. But for now, LA, I love you too. It’s finally starting to cool down in LA, but all signs still point to watermelon dayzzzzzz. It’s been one hot summer and one of my favorite snacks to stay refreshed and hydrated with is Watermelon Pizza. If I could romp around town everyday in a romper while eating a slice of matching watermelon pizza, I would.
Read MoreThis week I’ve teamed up with @forktobelly (Courtney), an amazing baker, blogger, and photographer, to create the Stir for this week’s Style. If you love this recipe and these gorgeous muffin photos, you'll love her blog Fork to Belly. We spent the afternoon baking, food styling, and shooting these gorgeous black sesame muffins to match these denim overall shorts.

Read MoreAs I've said before, pie is my favorite food, so what better place to visit than The Pie Hole in Downtown LA’s Arts District. This place was poppin’ on a Sunday before noon, filled with people enjoying pies on pies on pies and coffee. Immediately, I knew it was my kind of spot because if you like pie, let’s be friends
Read MoreIt was a hot Sunday afternoon and while my doggie was getting a nice grooming, Dan and I decided to pay Milk a visit. We were not disappointed. It was the perfect treat for a hot day in Los Angeles. So perfect that perhaps all of Los Angeles must have felt the same way since there was a line out the door curving around the corner. It was worth the wait.
Read MoreThis is an amazing dip for crackers, chips or even to spread in wraps or sandwiches. This was inspired by a feta dip I bought from one of my very favorite places, Trader Joe's. I decided to jazz it up a bit and made my own.
