The shrimp fried rice from Pho 5 Chop Shop in Diamond Bar is so pretty with that light pink orange color of the shrimp that I couldn’t resist matching an outfit! They’ve recently added new items like fried rice and vermicelli bowls. To top it all off, they have THE best pho broth I have ever tasted...and I’ve had a lot of pho in my day. Based on the photo of the rice, this isn't necessarily a post about their pho, but I just had to say it because it’s my favorite and I love noodles so much.

STIR
I am a lover of Vietnamese food, always have been! I’m Chinese, so I didn’t have the luxury of homemade Vietnamese food growing up, but my parents always took us to eat it out at restaurants. If you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese flavors in a clean and friendly environment, then your search is over. The best part is that they have specialty items that offer a modern twist to traditional Vietnamese dishes like the Cali-Pho-nia bowl with shrimp, chicken, corn, and avocado. Yep, you read right, avocado! It’s so good with the broth. Trust me.

Back to the shrimp fried rice- The shrimp is grilled and then slathered with just the right amount of house-made sriracha mayo. They fry the rice with their secret sauce (and have extra on the side just the way I like it) that has a slight sweetness that pulls everything together. The rice has egg in it and is piping hot and fluffy! A shrimp with a spoonful of fluffy fried rice and secret sauce with a cucumber to cool it all down is the perfect bite!

Missguided floral romper

STYLE
I matched the shrimp fried rice with a Missguided bell-sleeved romper because of the coral, pink, and green floral print. Fried rice is speckled and this romper has the perfect design to match! I included a green statement necklace to resemble the cucumbers and cilantro garnish.

Moral of the story, go to Pho 5 Chop Shop and try their dishes for yourself. The pho will change your life and this shrimp fried rice is a must order!

What are some of your favorite Vietnamese dishes?
