Birthday Cake Cookie at Milk Jar Cookies
STIR
Remember when milk and cookies were the perfect childhood snack? Well, news flash, it still is as an adult too! Milk Jar Cookies bakes up fresh batches of cookies multiple times a day to satisfy all of LA’s cookie monsters, myself included.
Eating is a food blogger’s greatest joy in life. Therefore, it was natural for me to invite a new friend and fellow blogger, Caitlin of Pretty Undecided, to accompany me on a mission to devour delicious oversized cookies.
I felt like I walked into Pinterest heaven the moment we entered. I wanted to move in all my belongings and live there forever. Everything was just so darn cute in there and perfectly decorated. There’s a large banner hung up above the kitchen door that says, “Life is short. Eat cookies.” That was my call to action to order half a dozen cookies. My birthday is coming up on June 28 (cue the name jokes), so I was of course inclined to order the colorful Birthday Cake Cookie. We also picked out the Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Sugar, Mint Chip, Banana Split, and White Chocolate Macadamia.
They have these adorable old school milk jars that you can purchase with your cookies. Ice-cold milk with warm cookies is a pleasure like none other. The owner, Courtney, and her team of cookie masters bake my favorite kind of cookie, crispy around the edges but warm, gooey, and chewy in the center. Sorry, almost drooled all over my keyboard. My favorites were the Birthday Cake because of the crunch from the pop of the rainbow sprinkles and the Mint Chip because they have what seems to be mint chocolate oozing from the center that’s melty and phenomenal (think melted Andes Mints inside a cookie).
Pay Milk Jar Cookies a visit in Miracle Mile. The smell of freshly baked cookies alone will assure you that you’re where you belong. Just let it happen and let yourself enjoy a cookie or 6!
STYLE
I love florals and really should incorporate more florals into my wardrobe. This dress would be great for a summer wedding. In fact, I wore this dress to a wedding before. It’s an affordable dress that can look upscale with the right shoes (like these Calvin Klein’s) and hairstyle. Pull your hair back and wearing some nice earrings would also class this dress up.
Thanks so much for reading and feel free to contact me about your favorite kind of cookie, any childhood cookie memories you may have, or other cookie inspired outfits!
